Dylan’s Rhossili

In preparation.

I like ‘The Beach’.
It conjures up a mood and vision of the Rhossili shore with which I am familiar. Empty, maybe a bit desolate, but intriguing – quite startling in a way.
My partner also thinks it is good. He likes the way it sounds when read aloud. The words make music. He finds echoes of The Wasteland and Ozimandias in your poem.

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Shelly, Ozimandias.
